One of the first account-based ticketing systems in Germany

The district of Freyung-Grafenau is located in Bavaria and has a population of around 80,000. Together with our partners Telematrik, Switchio and Mastercard, Mikroelektronika has contributed to the introduction of Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) at the local transport association VLFGR.
The ABT system is based on Switchio's intelligent, modular transit processing platform and Mikroelektronika's compact validator CVL for check-in/check-out.

The account-based ticketing system from the passenger's perspective

Passengers now enjoy the speed and freedom of open ticketing by using their NFC-based bank card, smartphone or smart wearable as a payment method and digital ticket in one. The new system also includes ‘fare capping’, which ensures that passengers never pay more than necessary in a given period.
