Mikroelektronika, will deliver new ticketing system to Silesian Metropolis in Poland. A major urban agglomeration and international traffic hub.
Polish, or more precisely Silesian Metropolis, is an urban conurbation of two million inhabitants and fifteen towns with its centre in Katowice. It is an important international highway and railway crossroad with busy international airport.
Publictransport is integrated across the agglomeration and operated by the Metropolitan Transport Administration (Zarząd Transportu Metropolitalnego ZTM Katowice), formerly known as KZK GOP.
Entire fleet of buses and trams operated by ZTM will be gradually equipped with CVB5 validators. Up to 1 500 of these comfortable and powerful validators with a wide communication interface and a large touch screen will accept both ŚKUP cards and contactless bank cards.
The first devices will be delivered within 12 months of the contract signing.
It is another project of Mikroelektronika in the region. Similar type of device has been operated in nearby Tychy since 2019. Earlier this year our validators were also installed on buses serving Gliwice and surrounding municipalities.
